- To welcome all patients, visitors and consultants to the department in a professional, friendly, courteous and helpful manner, to assist in their patient care and provide the highest standard of customer care.
- To have an efficient telephone manner in order to take and give accurate information.
- To liaise regularly with hospital departments to ensure a smooth patient pathway and experience.
- Co-ordinate patient registration, preparation of outpatient accounts, receipting payment for hospital services and ensure patient payments are in order prior to completion of the episode of care – managing letters of guarantee, liaising with insurance companies and embassies as required.
- Where required, book follow up appointments, diagnostic tests and support the patients onward journey through effective collaboration with hospital teams.
- To ensure costs are entered correctly and patients charged accordingly using the relevant hospital systems.
- To co-ordinate department activities, including patient and referrer liaison tasks.
- To actively encourage new business into the department.
- To provide basic secretarial support - co-ordinate bookings for procedures with various internal and external hospital departments, assist with filing, coordination of clinics schedules and assist with filing.
- To liaise with patients and referrers regarding clinical procedures and investigations and ensure they are appropriately informed of precautions/risks.
- Experience in administration/coordination
- Experience within a private healthcare setting
- Experience in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- IT Literate
- Assertive, articulate and polite
- Excellent organisational skills
- Able to work on own initiative
- Good timekeeping but prepared to be flexible

Clinic Coordinator in Primary Care
Cromwell hospital, London SW5 0TU
Permanent Contract
£28,000 to £31,200 depending on experience
Full time hours available – Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am to 8pm but subject to change.

Role Overview
As a Clinic Coordinator you will facilitate the delivery of high-quality clinical and customer service through the efficient coordination of the activities within the outpatient primary care department at the Cromwell Hospital. You will be responsible for all activities across the clinic and provide a link between Hospital, Patients, Consultant or other users. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient clinical service with the assistance of GPs and clinical leads and will liaise with GPs to ensure their administrative requests are completed in a timely manner.
