      Clinic Receptionist

      Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm

The Manor is a thriving, bustling village of nearly 1,000 incredible residents, with a sprawling, magnificent 668-acre campus that’s full of active, engaging ways for residents to spend their time. Our campus offers residents delicious dining and a continuum of healthcare including an on-site ambulatory clinic, Assisted Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing.

      Our internal medicine clinic is a patient-centered clinic focused on providing comprehensive, compassionate, and evidence-based care to adult patients. We treat a wide range of chronic and acute medical conditions, with an emphasis on preventive health and long-term wellness. Our team is committed to building lasting relationships with patients while maintaining a supportive and respectful work environment.

      You will be responsible for receiving and coordinating incoming calls while ensuring that patient’s needs are being met in a timely and efficient manner. You will maintain a high level of customer service and provide clerical and organizational support to the team.

      How you’ll do it:

      • Understand the importance of resident rights in healthcare as well as the community as a whole, and advocate for operations, processes, and decisions that are in residents’ best interests.
      • Assist in maintaining a physical, social and psychological environment which supports providing the best treatment to residents and clinic patients.
      • Assist and/or direct residents to most appropriate location or person to meet their needs. Provide assistance and information to employees, residents, and guests on a regular basis via phone, email, or in person.
      • Assist with weekly supply order, stocking, mail/fax work, scanning, billing and posting applicable notices for the clinic.
      • Maintain accurate and complete files and forms inventory. Assist in organizing and maintaining the medical record. Maintain privacy and confidentiality per organization policy.
      • Participate in safety activities and monitoring environmental safety concerns. Take appropriate remedial action.
      • Schedule clinic appointments for residents and clinic patients as necessary. Communicate with hospitals and vendors for contracted services and transportation if needed.
      • Attend required in-service education programs, employees and unit meetings.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.

      About you:

      • Prior experience in long-term care or a healthcare environment is preferred. Experience in clerical office work, reception, scheduling, or a related field is also preferred.
      • Exceptional customer service, communication and organizational skills, especially with cognitively impaired residents. High attention to detail and accuracy.
      • Ability to demonstrate tact, restraint, and professionalism in difficult situations.
      • Knowledge of basic office equipment (multi-phone lines, fax machines, computers, photocopiers). Ability to fill out forms, keep accurate records, and submit reports.
      • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
