      Full-Time Benefits

      1.0 FTE Monday - Friday, 7:45am - 5pm

      The clinic nurse in our Pediatrics Clinic will work closely with pediatricians and healthcare teams to provide exceptional care to children of all ages. This position involves performing clinical duties, educating patients and families, and ensuring a positive patient experience in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assisting in patient assessments, administering medications, and ensuring proper treatment protocols are followed.

      Responsibilities

      • Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients, including assessments, administering medications, and performing minor procedures.

      • Assist pediatricians during patient exams and treatments.

      • Educate parents and caregivers on health management, preventive care, and follow-up procedures.

      • Administer immunizations and coordinate well-child checkups, ensuring appropriate vaccines are given at the proper intervals.

      • Prepare patients for exams, including taking vitals, preparing medical equipment, and documenting patient information.

      • Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring patient history, assessments, and treatment plans are up to date in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

      • Manage phone triage for questions regarding pediatric care and help families with follow-up instructions.

      • Ensure the clinic environment is welcoming and safe for children and families.

      • Provide emotional support and education to children and families, helping alleviate any concerns about treatments and procedures.

      • Ensure compliance with all clinic protocols and safety regulations, particularly in regard to pediatric patient care.

      Qualifications

      • Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants or Graduate of an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses or Registered Nurses
      • Current CMA certification through one of the of the following credentialing body; AAMA, AMT, NCCT or NMA.
      • Current license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa/Illinois for Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.
      • Previous clinical experience in a medical office preferred.
      • BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.
      • Computer data entry experience.
      • Strong interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to work as a team member
