Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Associate Psychologist (CAP) to join our Community Mental Health Recovery Team in Portsmouth. We are looking for a CAP who is passionate about using their clinical experience and knowledge to develop and deliver psychological interventions to adults across our community. It is an exciting time to join our service as we are currently shaping and transforming our menu of psychological interventions and the way we deliver them. CAPs are central to our new ways of working and are highly valued within our service.
We welcome experienced or newly qualified CAPs who are looking to start or develop their career.
This role is a full time position.
Main duties of the job
To improve the mental health of people within the agreed locality by undertaking specialised psychological assessments, contributing to bespoke clinical formulations, delivering structured, evidence-based and psychologically-informed interventions and undertaking agreed research activity; all appropriate to the post-holder's level of training, competence and experience.
To work autonomously on a day-to-day basis, under supervision and direction from a registered Practitioner Psychologist and within the scope of practice set out within the Apprenticeship Standard for Clinical Associate Psychologists and their own training.
All clinical work will be overseen and reviewed regularly through supervision provided by an HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist (other qualified healthcare professionals may also contribute to supervision as deemed appropriate by the relevant Strategic Lead for Psychology and Psychological Therapies).
