- Nutritional assessment: evaluate patients' nutritional status based on medical conditions, lab results, and health history
- Nutritional intervention: develop measurable and goal-oriented nutrition care plans tailored to the results of patient assessments
- Nutritional education: deliver individualized nutrition education and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers, addressing dietary modifications and potential food-drug interactions while considering cultural, ethnic, and personal preferences, as well as learning readiness and style
- Nutritional evaluation: Provide ongoing evaluation and follow-up to assess the effectiveness of nutrition interventions, adjusting the care plan as needed
- Ensure meals prepared by the dietary staff align with prescribed diets and safety standards
- Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition into patient care plans
- Registered Dietitian Required (CMS requirement)
- One year healthcare experience desirable
Overview
We are seeking a Clinical Dietitian (PRN), sometimes referred to as a Registered Dietitian at Providence Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare in Kansas City, KS. The Registered Dietitian (RD) in our hospital designs and implements nutrition care plans for patients, tailoring diets to medical needs. Clinical Dietitian’s assess nutritional status, monitor progress, educate patients and families, collaborate with healthcare teams, and ensure dietary staff prepares meals that meet safety and health standards. The Registered Dietitian’s goal is to improve patient outcomes through effective nutrition management. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PRN as needed.

Responsibilities
