      COULD THIS BE YOU

      As a Clinical Documentation Coder, you will be accountable for varying levels of risk adjustment, regulatory compliance and HCC diagnoses.

      How You Will Get Things Done:

      • Review, analyze and code diagnostic information in patient charts; identify coding opportunities for improved coding accuracy
      • Validate and investigate missed coding opportunities
      • Audit patient charts to ensure accurate coding

      How You Will Build Trust:

      • Identify and advise end users on coding opportunities for improved coding accuracy
      • Ensure compliance with established coding guidelines, third party reimbursement policies, regulatory and accreditation guidelines

      How You Will Innovate:

      • Work collaboratively between team and leadership to enhance coding process and procedure

      EXPERIENCE TO DRIVE CHANGE

      • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree (preferred)
      • Professional Coding Certification such as CPC, CCS, or CCS-P required; CRC would be a plus
      • 1+ years of experience in advanced professional coding; HCC coding experience required
      • Experience with providing coding education in an outpatient environment preferred (Primary Care Practice highly preferred)
      • Proficient with payer policies and guidelines
      • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records
      • Strong communication skills
      • Technology savvy (MS Office, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

      For Colorado Residents only: The base compensation range for this role is $23.00/hr to $27.00/hr. At VillageMD, compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. This role may be eligible for annual/quarterly bonus incentives (if applicable), and the selected candidate will be eligible for a valuable company benefits plan, including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401k plan with company match.
