What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review medical records for accurate documentation of diagnoses and procedures
- Identify missed opportunities within medical records
- Evaluate queries from a compliance perspective
- Adhere to guidelines set forth by ACDIS, AAPC, and AHIMA
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Current RN license or graduate of medical school with 5+ years of acute care experience
- Possess current ACDIS CCDS or AHIMA CDIP certification
- 5+ years of clinical documentation experience with an acute care facility
- Minimum 2 years of remote experience
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft products
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 3+ years of auditing experience
- Experience with multiple health facilities, electronic medical records, and encoders
- Proficiency with ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS
- Familiarity with various risk models
