What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Facilitate and obtain quality physician documentation for clinical conditions and procedures
- Educate patient care team members on documentation guidelines and compliance
- Review medical records for documentation completeness and accuracy
- Identify opportunities for documentation improvement using critical-thinking skills
- Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare providers to ensure complete clinical documentation

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate degree and 5+ years of experience in healthcare
- Minimum of five years of acute care nursing experience in relevant settings
- 3 years of experience as a Clinical Documentation Specialist
- Current active State license as a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician's Assistant
- CCDS or CDIP certification

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in medical/surgical, Intensive Care, post-acute care unit, or Emergency Department
- Additional certifications or continued education in Clinical Documentation Improvement
