What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct concurrent reviews of inpatient medical records to enhance physician documentation quality
- Communicate with physicians and healthcare team members to facilitate comprehensive medical record documentation
- Utilize the clinical documentation system to identify opportunities for improvement in physician and hospital outcomes
- Provide education on compliance, coding, and clinical documentation to internal customers
- Analyze documentation findings and assist in the development of performance measures for the medical staff
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must have a Bachelor of Nursing degree
- Current State of Texas nursing license or temporary/compact license
- Minimum of 5 years of recent RN bedside experience in an acute hospital setting
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in computer usage, including database and spreadsheet analysis

- Experience in critical care nursing
- Knowledge of federal, state, and private payer regulations
- Ability to assess, evaluate, and teach effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
- Experience in developing education strategies for clinical documentation
