- Basic proficiency and recent work experience in database applications and software systems. Working knowledge of MS Access (data entry, create reports, create queries). Knowledge of Excel and other UTMB systems such as Tivoli, MyStar, New Innovations, Perceptive, Blackboard, and Typhon.
- Superior communication skills, multitasking skills, organization, and attention to detail. Ability to speak clearly and concisely when relaying the needs of UTMB to potential preceptors.
- Interpersonal communication skills sufficient to work with a broad range of professionals in legal, healthcare and education arenas.
- Must have valid driver’s license and a dependable vehicle for traveling to preceptor offices/clinical sites both local and distant within Texas.
- Experience as a coordinator in an educational setting.
- Experience communicating effectively and efficiently in a deadline driven professional setting.
- Manage Blackboard sites for specific clinical-year courses managed by office of Clinical Education, including posting syllabus and course materials.
- Identify, initiate, and cultivate relationships with potential clinical training sites and preceptors to support the clinical education phase of the PA program.
- Coordinate and conduct regular site visits (in-person and virtual) to assess the quality of clinical education, ensure compliance with program standards, and support preceptor development.
- Create clinical year schedules for courses and update students of any changes.
- Proctor exams as needed.
- Participate in clinical activities, including call back day scheduling and execution.
- Coordinate activities for students with delayed graduation Participate in recruitment events for potential applicants to the PA program.
- Coordination of potential future post-graduate residencies and fellowships.
- Provide other departmental administrative support as directed.

MINMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field and three years of related experience; or Associate’s degree and five or more years of coordination experience.
