MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To plan and facilitate identified training and development interventions to ensure competency of all nursing staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Develop the competence of all nursing staff
Ensure the correct application of nursing procedures and policies
Identify training needs to guide the development of appropriate clinical training interventions
Promote a culture of continuous professional development
REQUIRED EDUCATION
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION : Degree/Diploma in General Nursing
DESIRED EDUCATION: Nursing Education Diploma; Unit specific certificate or diploma where appropriate (e.g. Emergency Centre / Operating Theatre / Critical Care Unit)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years’ Clinical experience as a professional nurse
DESIRED EXPERIENCE : 1-2 years’ experience as a peer mentor; 1-2 years’ experience as a Workplace assessor.
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
