Job summary
Applications are invited for three posts of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST3-5/ST6+/Snr) in Gastroenterology, Nutrition, Intestinal Rehabilitation and Intestinal Transplant at Addenbrooke's Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
These posts are available for 6 months initially with the possibility of further extension depending on service requirement.
The Cambridge Centre for Intestinal Rehabilitation and Transplant team combine knowledge and expertise of intestinal rehabilitation and intestinal and multivisceral transplantation across the Transplant and Digestive Disease Directorates at Addenbrooke's Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide quality care for patients with intestinal failure, complex surgical and vascular problems and who are undergoing intestinal and multivisceral transplantation. The postholder will be supported by a team of Gastroenterologists, Transplant and Intestinal Failure Surgeons, Specialist Nurses, Coordinators, Psychologist and associated Junior Doctors. There will be opportunities for experience in other areas of Transplantation or Gastroenterology, as well as research opportunities.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at point of application is required.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
