      Job summary

      Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST3-5) in Chemical Pathology to commence as soon as possible for a period of 12 months.

      Main duties of the job

      The duties of the post include participation in the Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory's services to its users, including the Clinical Biochemistry duty doctor rota for the provision of clinical services during routine laboratory hours as well as providing appropriate clinical support to the Obesity Clinic, Diabetes Clinic and the Lipid Clinic. The Fellow would be expected to provide appropriate support to the Laboratory Specialist Insulin Services.

      Please note that these posts do not carry Postgraduate Dean's approval or training recognition.

      Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.

      About us

      The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
