      Applications are invited for Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine based at Bronglais General Hospital, Aberystwyth.       Main duties of the job

      This post will give you excellent experience and vast training in Emergency Medicine within a rural setting in one of the most beautiful locations in the UK. As part of the Emergency Department team you will be responsible for the initial assessment and treatment of patients attending the Emergency and Urgent Care Centre at Bronglais General Hospital. You will gain broad experience as this will include major and minor presentations from all specialties. There is excellent senior support in the department from 0900-midnight and from the Hospital at Night medical team overnight.Successful applicants will be part of a friendly and supportive, well integrated clinical team of doctors and nurses.All clinical staff are accountable and responsible for their own clinical competence and should limit their actions to those for which they are deemed competent.Clinical staff are also required to comply with the requirements of theirprofessional organisation regarding supervisionIf you feel that you are required to undertake tasks/duties for which you are not competent, it is your responsibility to inform the Consultant to which you are attached or responsible to at that time.Overseas applicants should demonstrate a breadth and depth of experience comparable to that obtainable in the UK. Previous NHS Experience is desirable, but not essential. Full structured induction into the NHS and Department will be given.

      Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties.       • 48 general practices (four of which are managed practices), 47 dental practices (including three orthodontic), 99 community pharmacies, 44 general ophthalmic practices (43 providing Eye Health Examination Wales and 34 low vision services) and 17 domiciliary only providers and 11 health centres;
      • Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;
      • Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
