      Job summary

      These posts are designed to offer specialist experience in sub specialist fields in respiratory medicine, ideally one post each in Sleep, Airways Diseases (could include a mix of any of Asthma, COPD and/or Bronchiectasis), ILD and Pleural Diseases. Applications will be welcomed from those seeking post CCT experience or on a respiratory training programme looking for out of programme experience (OOPE) in the above sub specialist fields, however other interests in respiratory medicine (for example TB, Lung Cancer, Virtual Ward, Teaching and Transplant) could be considered.

      Main duties of the job

      *Work alongside senior colleagues in outpatient clinics.

      *Undertake ward rounds in the respiratory wards and RSU at SpR level, supervise juniors, undertake ward-based procedures etc., under consultant supervision.

      *Participate in consultant led rounds.

      *Participate in the respiratory referral rota -- in line with other trainees.

      *Respiratory weekend ward cover -- 1:4 frequency.

      *There is no GIM on call commitment to these posts.
