      The Clinical Lab Associate is an entry level position at our Andover, MA headquarters geared towards recent college graduates interested in growing their career within the medical device industry. The Clinical Associate, will report into the Director, Laboratory & Surgical Operations and will perform a variety of general laboratory and administrative tasks to support clinical research, product development and customer clinical training. Relocation support is not provided with this position.

      ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:

      • As a member of the Clinical Development Team, this individual will supports all laboratory activities, including training, research, product development, and validation studies. These duties include:
        1. Perform pre-procedure preparation activities.
        2. Support to surgical team during procedures.
        3. Operate laboratory and procedure equipment for data collection.
        4. Collection of samples during procedures; perform routine logging and testing of samples.
        5. Process, organize, and summarize data, reporting results using various scientific, word processing, spreadsheet, or statistical software applications or program platforms.
        6. Assist with post-procedure processes.
        7. Maintain lab procedure spaces, general lab areas, and support lab personnel rooms to facilitate laboratory activities.
        8. Guide new lab users and visitors to deliver an ideal training experience.
        9. Assist in special improvement projects to advance laboratory functions.
      • Perform other TransMedics tasks and duties as required.

      REQUIREMENTS:

      • A knowledge of basic laboratory techniques, the scientific method, and the order of operation to conduct leading-edge experimentation and training.
      • A highly detail-oriented track record and the ability to maintain accurate records.
      • Possess a strong work ethic, the ability to learn quickly, and the motivation to improve the organ transplantation process.
      • Commitment to excellence, quality, accuracy, and integrity in all laboratory activities
      • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
      • Organized approach to prioritizing projects and duties independently and the ability to multi-task
      • The ability to operate and succeed in a team environment.
      • Familiarity with an FDA-regulated climate is a plus.

      EDUCATION:

      • BS in Biology or other life sciences discipline
