- Managerial oversight for outpatient unit (CRP) and the main campus endoscopy unit, in addition to Pediatric endoscopy.
- Managerial oversight of specialty programs includes Pediatric and Adult Motility as well as Adult Interventional Endoscopy procedures.
- Manages patient flow and efficient/cost effective use of human, fiscal, and material resources.
- Identifies, initiates, and participates in hospital and unit-based quality improvement activities.
- Participates in a collaborative relationship with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, support staff and other members of the health care teams.
- Responsible for the development and evaluation of professional and support staff on her/his services.
- As a Nurse Leader, the CNM directs and evaluates all staff within Endoscopy and serves as a resource and role model for the nursing, technical, and support staff.
- 1-2 years of managerial/leadership experience desirable
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be flexible and able to manage stressful situations; ability to encourage and foster teamwork
- Solid organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- Current Massachusetts Nursing License required
- Master’s Degree required (Nursing or Nursing Administration)
- 3 years general or critical care nursing experience preferred
- 3-5 years nursing experience in endoscopy or procedural area preferred, with demonstrated clinical competence and professional accountability
- 1-2 years of managerial/leadership experience desirable
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

The Endoscopy Department at MGH has two specialized units for adult and pediatric patients – both located in downtown Boston, MA. Each unit offers an extensive spectrum of gastrointestinal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to patients in our emergency, inpatient, and ambulatory settings.

Education
· Current Massachusetts Nursing License required
· Master’s Degree required (Nursing or Nursing Administration)
Experience
