- Promotes quality of healthcare by developing and interpreting nursing philosophies and standards of
care; enforcing adherence to nursing best practices; measuring health outcomes against standards and
making or recommending adjustments. - Assists participant's independence by establishing participant care goals; teaching and counseling
participants, Direct Service Professionals, family and friends and reinforcing their understanding of
disease, medications, healthy life styles and self-care skills. - Maintains and shares knowledge of federal and state healthcare reform.
- Develops, implements and reviews systems to insure quality and cost effect of operations affecting the
health and behavioral health care of all participants with developmental disability - Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Registered Nurse. Maintain current State of Pennsylvania licensed as RN.
- Three to five (3 - 5) years of progressive healthcare management experience. Experience in community
nursing and/or developmental disabilities. - Good organizational skills, good communication skills and detail oriented.
- Proficient use of computer software for recordkeeping, form development, word processing, and experience
with data base design and maintenance. - Possess valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Requires the ability to lift, carry, fold, kneel, reach, stoop, stack, bend, light lifting and climbing stairs.
- May include direct intervention with participants, to include crisis (medical & psychiatric) intervention in
emergency situations. - Frequent talking and listening.
- Requires flexibility in scheduling
- Good manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
- Required to carry a cell phone during regularly scheduled working hours. As member of essential personnel,
may be required to report to work during emergencies including inclement weather.
