      Where you'll be working
      Ryde Hospital

      Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.

      The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more.

      Construction commenced in early 2023, and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely.


      What you'll be doing

      Providing a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service to the patients of Ryde Hospital. This includes

      • Direct clinical pharmacy service to patients as a ward based pharmacist
      • Dispensing to inpatients and limited outpatients
      • Close collaboration with the multidisciplinary care team to make meaningful impacts to enhance patient care
      • Education and provision of information to other health care professional and patients
      • The opportunity to participate in relevant quality improvement and research projects and our continuing education program. This can include working together with interdisciplinary colleagues on patient safety and optimal use of medication projects
      • Participating in the general Monday to Friday roster and on-call roster (weekend and public holiday roster only as required)

      People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.
      Candidates will need to meet the following criteria :

      1. Must hold registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
      2. Commitment to participation in professional development and quality improvement activities.
      3. Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required).
      4. Proven ability to work independently and to establish effective collaborative working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team and interagency networks.
