      Clinical Practitioner

      Location: Loughborough Urgent Care Centre

      Salary: DHU Band 8a - £50,966 - £57,555

      Evenings: 30% enhancement

      Weekends: 45% enhancement

      Full Time or Part Time: 23h per week over weekends & nights

      Job responsibilities

      A day in the life of a Clinical Practitioner with DHU will involve:

      • To practice autonomously without direct supervision.
      • To utilise advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, treat, and refer patients within the clinical service.
      • To recognise the need for, initiate and where appropriate interpret relevant diagnostic investigations.
      • To recognise the need for and initiate where appropriate advice of relevant specialisms.

      To be a successful Clinical Practitioner youll need:

      • Registered Adult Nurse registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), Paramedic registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
      • Evidence of Autonomous Practice Qualification
      • Autonomous practice A33
      • Level 6 or 7 Clinical Examination Module
      • Level 6 or 7 Minor Illness Module
      • RCN Accredited Nurse Practitioner Module
      • Emergency Care Practitioner Qualification
      • Be motivated, passionate, positive, resilient, and determined to provide the best care.

      Essential

      • Registered Adult Nurse registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), Paramedic registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
      • Evidence of Autonomous Practice Qualification such as :-
      • Autonomous practice A33
      • Level 6 or 7 Clinical Examination Module
      • Level 6 or 7 Minor Illness Module
      • RCN Accredited Nurse Practitioner Module
      • Emergency Care Practitioner Qualification

      Desirable

      • BSc (Hons)
      • Mentorship qualification
      • Registration as an independent non-medical prescriber

      • Can complete a concise clinical history and physical examination.
      • Can formulate a differential diagnosis and management plan.
      • Prepared to participate in service development
      • Demonstrable awareness of accountability in clinical practice
