- Current registration with AHPRA and must hold a post graduate degree in clinical psychology (Masters, and/or Doctorate or PhD) that provides eligibility for full membership of the APS and ACPA.
- Clinical knowledge, skill and clinical experience in the provision of clinical psychology interventions. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the use of therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Insight Oriented Psychotherapy. Demonstrated skills in working with families.

Where you will be based
Community Mental Health Services provide a range of services designed to help support the recovery and help consumer stay well in the community. The team provide specialist services for young people, children and families, adults, and older people. Community mental health services include a specialist Aboriginal Mental Health Team, bilingual mental health workers and Peer Support Workers. Our main sites are at Canterbury, Croydon, Camperdown, Marrickville, and Redfern Community Health Services. The role will be based at Canterbury.
About the role
The Community Adolescent Outreach Service is part of the Sydney Local Health District CAMHS. The Community Adolescent Outreach Service interfaces with other mental health providers including general adult psychiatric services, consultation-liaison psychiatry services, specialized early psychosis teams, youth mental health services, private practitioners and headspace.
You will be working with a small core group of MDT staff including Medical, Nursing and Allied Health professionals providing psychological services to young people and their families.
Treatment undertaken by the Community Adolescent Outreach Service will include an extensive range of therapeutic interventions to assist in the development and recovery of the young person. The program will follow structured phases incorporating assessment, establishing a therapeutic alliance and developing realistic therapeutic goals.

About working for SLHD
This is a Category A position. To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy (PD2022_030).
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
