Job Description

- To undertake specialist clinical duties contributing to assessment and treatment of patients.
- To provide Psychological Therapies for young people with an eating disorder, developing specialist psychological formulations and assessments of patients with complex presentations, formulating plans for treatment and implementing specialist psychological interventions for individuals and groups.
- To provide specialist psychological assessments of patients based on appropriate analysis, interpretation, and integration of complex qualitative and quantitative data.
- To administer and interpret assessments of cognitive and emotional functioning as required and to assist the multi-disciplinary team in diagnosis, problem formulation and the planning/development of an appropriate treatment plan.
- To plan, implement, and evaluate individual and group treatments, informed by formulations of patients problems based on appropriate theoretical and therapeutic models and best practice guidelines.

- -You will be registered with the HCPC as a practitioner psychologist and preferably be BPS Chartered.
- -You will have experience of and/or an interest in working with young people with an eating disorder

- -To have skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment to inform the psychological formulation and intervention.

Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a psychologist to join our therapy team on our CAMHS Inpatient Eating Disorder Unit. You will have the opportunity to work with a skilled therapy team that includes family therapy, occupational therapy and dietitians as well as a number of complementary therapies. We provide great training opportunities, learning opportunities, and CPD events.
