      Job Description

      Northwestern Medicine and The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible clinical psychologist for the Bronzeville Clinic.

      Primary responsibilities include providing science-based psychological assessment and treatment for adult outpatients with all categories of psychiatric disorders, with a particular emphasis on providing care to diverse individuals within the new Bronzeville location. Secondary responsibilities include the provision of education, supervision, and training to clinical psychology graduate students, medical students, and psychiatry residents and fellows. Engagement in research or scholarly activities is also strongly encouraged.

      The new Bronzeville Outpatient Center will reflect the culture of the neighborhood and include an Immediate Care Center, primary and specialty care by Northwestern Medicine physicians, including psychiatry and psychology, diagnostic services, including mammograms and lab tests, a Cancer Center with chemotherapy services, and resources and programming for individual and community health.

      Qualifications

      Qualified candidates will have obtained a PhD or PsyD from a clinical psychology program that is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) or the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System and completed an APA-approved internship. It is also preferred that successful candidates have fellowship-level training in the assessment and treatment of a range of conditions, including posttraumatic stress. Qualified applicants will also have well developed competencies that facilitate their work with a variety of communities and patients with intersectional identities. Qualified candidates will also be licensed or license eligible as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of Illinois.
