- BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Conduct scientific studies of behavior patterns and cognitive function related to mental health
- Observe and interview individuals, recording interactions to assist in clinical psychology diagnosis and treatment
- Research psychological, emotional, and behavioral patterns and identify issues to provide effective treatment plans
- Diagnose potential disorders and develop individualized treatment plans
- Discuss possible methods of treatment with patients, including therapy and medication
