      This role is located in the MGH-IHP Campus in the beautiful and historical Charlestown Navy Yard.

      SUMMARY

      The Cognitive-Motor Behavior Lab at the MGH Institute of Health Professions is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator (20 hours per week) for a clinical trial of pharmacological and rehabilitation interventions in people with multiple sclerosis. The position is dependent upon grant funding, currently scheduled from October 1, 2023, until September 30, 2026.

      The coordinator will play a crucial role in the overall management of the study. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of clinical rehabilitation research in a premier health care network. The successful candidate will be trained in REDCap, Epic, study-specific standard operating procedures, and other internal systems (e.g., issuing participant payments, ordering supplies). Training in the protection of human subjects will also be required and provided after date of hire. Training is expected to take place over 2-3 months.

      DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

      Project management (100%), including:

      • Daily administration of the trial.
      • Liaising with clinical project staff and the clinical research coordinator regarding scheduling of participants for research visits.
      • Assisting the principal investigator in screening and recruitment of study participants.
      • Conducting weekly compliance phone calls for all study participants.
      • Conducting quality checks of entered data.
      • Coordinating and attending weekly project meetings.
      • Assisting the principal investigator in obtaining and maintaining regulatory approvals for the study, including IRB amendments and renewals.
      • Serving as the administrative point-person at the MGH Institute of Health Professions for any research billing and ordering.
      • Maintaining a record of protocol deviations.
      • Maintaining a record of adverse event reporting.
      • Preparing data reports and annual progress reports.
      • Assisting with onboarding temporary project staff, as needed
      • Monitoring publications in the field.
      • Administrative office and occasionally in the clinical research facility

      EDUCATION

      • Bachelor’s degree (health-related field preferred)

      SKILLS & ABILITIES

      • Strong organizational skills and typing ability
      • Detail-oriented
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
      • Excellent English verbal skills for phone communication
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
      • REDCap experience preferred but not required
