What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of conducting clinical trials, ensuring compliance with protocols and regulations
- Recruit, screen, enroll, and follow up with eligible subjects according to study requirements
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of regulatory documents related to clinical trials
- Act as the primary liaison between investigators, the institutional review board (IRB), and the sponsor
- Conduct local travel throughout Hampton Roads as needed for trial management
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of employment
- Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) or equivalent certification required within 3 years of employment
- Minimum of three years of clinical research experience preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR and phlebotomy preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in oncology or cancer screening research
- Familiarity with grant processes and national cancer institute protocols
- Previous work in a clinical trials environment
- Additional certifications in clinical research beyond the minimum requirements
