Job Description
- Req#: JP-005381398
- Perform venipuncture, specimen processing, vital signs, electrocardiograms, IV infusions, IV pump operations, Holtor monitoring, pulmonary function testing, allergy testing, urine/serum pregnancy testing, strep throat screening, and injections (IM or SQ).
- Attend investigator meetings, site initiation visits, and coordinator meetings for training on drug preparation and administration.
- Monitor for complications during administration of study drugs, particularly injections or intravenous infusions.
- Maintain accurate dispensing logs, separate from those of the coordinator, including information such as lot number and drug vs. placebo.
- Document laboratory data and adverse reactions, notifying investigators, sponsors, and the Institutional Review Board of unexpected or serious events.
- Assist other staff members as determined by research organization needs and priorities.
- Active NC RN license
- 1+ years of prior CRC/CRN/Research experience is ideal
- If no prior research experience, minimum of 2+ years of nursing experience
- IV Insertion experience is a huge plus
Job Description
The Clinical Research Nurse will perform technical and clinical requirements of study protocols, including venipuncture, specimen processing, vital signs, electrocardiograms, etc. The role involves attending meetings to obtain training on drug preparation and administration, monitoring for possible complications, maintaining accurate dispensing logs, documenting laboratory data, and assisting in recruitment for clinical trials.

Work Environment
The position requires working on site for 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
