      The Opportunity

      Are you looking to grow your career? AgeCare is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join one of our Brooks homes. Working with the Director of Care, the Clinical Services Manager will play a key role in supporting the overall management of all care functions within the facility to ensure that the highest standard of quality resident care is delivered and always maintained. This position takes on a key role to continually provide an environment promoting a culture of resident safety by providing leadership and education for quality assurance and quality improvement activities to inform and align clinical practices and standards compliance.

      What You Will Do:

      • Participates in Accreditation, Regional, Provincial Care and Safety audit processes and completion of action plan development with follow-up.
      • Is available to residents and family members for consultation on any questions and concerns related to care and services within the AgeCare community.
      • Accountable for the continual monitoring and analyzing of care employee safety and the implementation of injury prevention measures.
      • Ensures resident welcomes and move-ins are in accordance with AgeCare Policy and provincial standards.
      • Works collaboratively with Human Resource Partner and the Director of Care to ensure concerns regarding resident services are investigated and managed according to AgeCare policy and procedure.
      • Assist the Director of Care with meeting operational plans, annual care budget targets and objectives.
      • Interprets nursing issues for the Director of Care and participates in and prioritizes decisions regarding policy, practice and process issues that affect care services.
      • Promotes care staff development through learning. Development and recommends training programs that enhance skills and abilities.

      What You Bring:

      • Education: Bachelor of Nursing with current CRNA registration or eligible for it.
      • Experience: 10+ years of nursing experience and 5+ years in a leadership role experience in a supportive living and/or long-term care facility.
      • Knowledgeable about current nursing and medical practices and procedures, laws, standards, regulations, and guidelines as they relate to Continuing Care sector.
      • Demonstrated understanding and adherence to applicable regulated practice and ethical standards and privacy of information policies.
      • Able to assess, plan, organize, develop, direct and evaluate the overall operation of the Nursing Department in accordance with current applicable legislation and guidelines.
      • Demonstrated the ability to conceptualize, problem solve, understand issues, set priorities, evaluate, negotiate, and allocate resources.
      • Provides coaching and mentoring support for nursing and other staff.
      • Strong planning and organizational skills.
      • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
      • Exceptional MS Office skills particularly with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
      • Must be able to provide a complete and current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check, including a Criminal Background Check, or be willing to obtain one.

      Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year

      Salary placement based on candidate qualifications and experience.
