- To support the Associate Director of Clinical Services with service delivery and service improvement across our clinical services.
- To provide clinical and operational leadership, helping to set and maintain standards, develop clinical pathways and share good practice and learning.
- To provide comprehensive leadership and management to identified teams and services.
- To take a lead on the provision of clinical services from our clinical Hub, including day to day operations, infection prevention & control (IPC), clinical compliance, clinical audit and patient safety.
- To act as a point of first line support and guidance to our teams and services in relation to infection prevention and control.
- To work clinically as required, within the scope of your professional practice, to support the service.
- To undertake project work and evaluations linked to development, quality and governance.
- Significant relevant post registration experience
- Experience of effective team leadership
- Experience of caseload management including responsibility
- Involved in the implementation and management of change
- Experience of initiating or participating in clinical audit/research relating to clinical practice
- Participation in regular clinical supervision
- Experience, underpinned by knowledge of working with and understanding the complex needs of patients in a primary care/community setting
- Evidence of innovative practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Broad range of enhanced clinical skills
- Ability to advocate on patient, staff and safety or quality issues.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership skills
- Demonstrates organisational skills: including the ability to make decisions and to prioritise
- Ability to understand and interpret research findings/evidence based care and apply to practice
- Good knowledge of health and safety and risk management
- Computer literate including EMIS and spreadsheets
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Effective people management skills
- Maths and English GCSEs (C and above) or equivalent
- Registered Nurse with active NMC registration
- Teaching and assessing qualification, NMC Assessor and Supervisor status.
- Post registration qualification in relevant area of practice
- Masters degree or equivalent experience gained by undertaking on-going personal development and training
- Management/Leadership qualification/development programme
- Good understanding of current nursing and AHP workforce issues
- Good working knowledge of clinical governance and able to describe its practical application
- Clear understanding of Primary Care Services
- Demonstrates an understanding and insight into current issues and developments within the NHS
- Car driver with valid licence
- Reliable and flexible
- Ability to work well in stressful situations
- Innovative and adaptable
- Assertive
- Commitment to attend forms or training as learning needs are identified

Job summary
We are looking for a compassionate and committed Clinical Services Manager to join our team at Surrey Heath Community Providers. The role will involve providing guidance and support across SHCPL and the Primary Care Network (PCN) providing clinical leadership, team management, helping to set standards, develop clinical pathways and share good practice and learning.

We began in 2016 and now employ around 200 members of staff across our head office sites, and our primary care and unplanned care services. Our services include Surrey Heath Primary Care Network, PRIMACY workflow management and Upper Gordon Road Surgery.
