Job summary
We are recruiting for a Clinical Support Worker in Children's Day Services who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The job gives you a great scope of variety and opportunity to work in different areas of day services for children. This position is to work on the Children's Day Services Department, Day Surgery and Children's Outpatients across Hertford county, QE11 and Lister Hospitals.

Main duties of the job
As a Clinical Support Worker, you will need to be able to provide our patients with the highest standards of care during their stay with us. You will find yourself assisting patients with many aspects of care including weighing and heighting children for their clinic appointment plus other skills such as ECGs and working with the diabetes team in outpatients.
Assisting the nurses with Day Case patients in day unit which will include Jaundice clinics, blood test clinics and allergy clinics, plastics clinic and ambulating patients.
Working on the Day surgery unit and supporting the nurses in caring for children who are attending for day surgery of multiple specialities.
Monitoring patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, height and weight in all areas.
As a clinical support worker you will be caring and kind, willing to be hands-on with patients within a hospital environment. You will also have the ability to do personal care tasks such as washing, toileting, etc.
