- To provide a system support function and maintain a methodical, contemporaneous, complete and accurate service record using the IM&T Department's call logging software. This will involve receiving complex and sensitive information and applying it to make necessary amendments to systems as appropriate based on the correct interpretation of the information, and where necessary communicating with all levels of Management, Staff and System Users to advise on system configuration queries and ensure data capture requirements are met.
- To assist with day to day support of clinical systems advising end users with problems and deal with appropriately to determine whether issues are reported to the National Service Desk/System Supplier, or can be resolved locally adhering to service level agreements
- Liaise with software suppliers and product specialists to ensure and software related problems encountered are logged in a timely manner, following up progress to resolve the issues
- To be the direct link for the IT Service Desk to accept calls for Clinical Systems. This involves understanding the users issue and determining the best resource to use to resolve to an acceptable standard. The post holder will use their knowledge of the systems to assess how to do this.

- NVQ level 4 in relevant subject or equivalent knowledge and experience
- European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or equivalent qualification/experience
- Understanding of NHS administration procedures and data quality issues
- Understanding of clinical priorities and changing NHS environment
- Understanding of Data Protection issues relating to Patient Information.
- Previous NHS Experience in a similar role which required an understanding of patient activity and clinical systems Competent and established user of computer systems within Microsoft suite
- Experience of using clinical systems such as EMIS, Rio, iPM, ECR, EDMS
- Experience of Providing 1st or 2nd Line Support in a customer focused environment
- Experience of building templates, letters, etc for system publication

Job summary
The Digital Training Team at LSCFT is seeking a new Clinical Systems Support Analyst to join an existing team of support analysts to assist with the implementation of a clinical system within the Trust's physical health services.This post will be responsible for providing system support and maintaining an accurate record of the support given using our IM&T Department's call logging software. The post holder will play a significant role in undertaking the system configuration and maintenance of the Trust clinical systems & EPRs, ensuring systems are accurate and up to date.The role will be responsible liaising with our software suppliers and product specialists to ensure that software related problems are logged, and resolved in a timely manner.
Working Pattern (Hours): Full Time
Hours/ Sessions per week: 37.5 Hours per week
Main duties of the job
LCFT has several clinical applications which are managed by Health Informatics. These include RIO, EMIS, EDMS and Nerve Centre and are used by both clinical and non-clinical staff. The post holder will be responsible for providing a clinical system support function for these applications and their users. This involves undertaking general database administration i.e. configuration, user accounts, housekeeping, supporting upgrades, user queries and general fault finding. The post holder will assist with investigating and resolving calls to the IT Service Desk, by establishing the problem with the user, triaging the incident and managing it through to resolution. This role will provide second line support for the clinical systems currently used by the Trust and will require the logging of support calls with suppliers, as appropriate.
