      Job summary

      This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to take on a Clinical Team Leader role at Barnet Lane Clinic, a 30-bed rehabilitation service for people with mental illness including personality disorders. The successful candidate will be responsible for the clinical environment and managing the clinical services across the wards and units, providing clinical leadership and support to the staff team.

      Main duties of the job

      As a Clinical Team Leader, you will be accountable for the safe and effective clinical and operational functioning of the defined unit, providing clinical leadership, support, guidance and supervision to the staff. You will be responsible for developing and creating an environment that supports competent and ethical nursing care, influencing work objectives, planning and organisation, and implementing strategies to facilitate effective communication pathways.

      As a Clinical Team Leader you will be

      • Providing clinical leadership to a defined staff group

      • Relevant experience as RMN/RNMH
      • Professional training in a similar environment
      • Recognised mentorship certification and an NVQ Assessor Qualification

      You’ll be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team at Barnet Lane Clinic, which is a 30-bed rehabilitation service for people with a mental illness including those diagnosed with a personality disorder.

      You will work with individuals who may have had placement breakdowns and need intensive review and support to help them move to more independent living, with a focus on supporting people build a better quality of life for themselves and equip them with the skills needed for community living, supportive relationships, and increased independence.
