- Provide therapeutic services and support (i.e., individual/family/group therapy, assessments, case management, psychoeducation, care coordination, client advocacy, etc.) across a continuum of care and based upon needs of client and/or family.
- Because clinical position is located within Residential Program, clinical role is dedicated to providing comprehensive treatment for youth and families who are receiving intensive therapy/support outside of home/community setting.
- Provide trauma responsive leadership and training to ensure that residential services best meet the needs of clients.
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight of therapeutic services.
- Support Cottage Coordinator towards developing skill development amongst staff.
- May offer community counseling services via Outpatient Department.
- Adheres to trauma responsive practice and implements strategies within scope of practice.
- Seeks and maintains clinical consultation.
- Accurately and comprehensively complete treatment plans (based on SMART principles), progress/service notes (i.e. individual/family/group therapy notes), client assessments, and other required documentation within designated timeline, as assigned by supervisor and outlined in policies.
- Collaborate with diverse population with varying treatment needs and provide appropriate clinical recommendations.
- Participate in client case management, meetings and reviews while promoting client advocacy.
- Communicate professionally with staff, clients, families, community, and agency leadership.
- Attend and actively participate in designated meetings while maintaining attentive, professional behavior.
- Coordinate with internal and external departments/individuals to meet needs of clients across continuum of care
- Serve as a liaison inter-departmentally by sharing and receiving information relevant to location(s)/program(s) to promote continuity of care
- Follow the American Counseling Association and/or National Association of Social Work Code of Ethics.
- Safeguard client, staff, agency information according to HIPAA and other laws, regulations, and policy relating to confidentiality.
- Accurately perform administrative requirements according to federal, state, agency requirements.
- Remain current on required training and certifications.
- Actively engage in professional development by participating in the following: clinical supervision, skill development, training, on-site supervision of clinical interns and other therapists (for clinicians that meet the criteria), administrative supervision of clinical assistant, etc.
- Manage a variety of crisis situations (suicide threat/attempt, physical fight between clients, alleged abuse/neglect of a client, agency-wide safety threat.) as the On-Call Administrator (responding to agency emergencies within 20 minutes) when assigned, following all applicable laws, policy, and procedures.
- Participate in physical holds of clients when necessary.

General Purpose:
Provide clinical services that include, but are not limited to, therapy, case management, care coordination, and client advocacy. Services offered are based on youth and family needs and facilitated within a variety of settings, which may include residential, crisis shelter, resource center and/or outpatient settings. This position also supports the skill development and training of other agency staff so that the continuity of trauma responsive care is best practiced.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Light physical demands primarily performed indoors with limited exposure to changes in weather and fluctuation in temperature. Position requires minimal physical activity including moderate periods of walking, standing, bending, and light to moderate lifting. Position requires periods of stationary activity/sitting. May travel or walk where exposure to the elements occurs. Physical contact while using physical de-escalation holds with clients is possible requiring the use of arms, hands, legs, and fingers. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
