Full time 12-month fixed term role at Camperdown with flexibility to work from home
Ideal role for new graduates – especially those wanting to get into clinical trials of public health interest
Base Salary $86,511 - $96,863 + 17% superannuation
Under the direction of the Project Manager/s you will assist in the:
processing of data relating to clinical trials, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data entered onto the study database
development of trial documentation (e.g. study protocol, data collection forms, study specific procedures) in accordance with SOP’s
development and submission of ethical and regulatory documentation
organisation of meetings, teleconferences both internal and external/online and in person, and undertake associated tasks associated with the conduct of the meetings e.g. minute taking.
high level administrative and other support tasks associated with clinical trials
have a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field e.g health related undergraduate degree, part way or near completion of a Masters in Public Health or Global Health. PhD opportunities are available.
demonstrated ability to support trial activities and an understanding of medical terminology is desirable
strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, working independently and within a team
excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and achieve required deliverables
excellent interpersonal and communication skills
high level use of MS Office 360 applications
ICH GCP training is essential (and may be provided to the successful candidate)
the ability to develop, sustain and strengthen internal and external relationships with stakeholders
active learner who can take initiative and achieve results through a commitment to excellence and quality work
The Health and Clinical Analytics (HCA) Team is the Sydney School of Public Health (SSPH) within the Faculty of Medicine and Health. We strive to be at the forefront of approaches to evaluating health interventions, providing evidence for important policy questions that can be readily translated into care. We use a range of research methods, including both randomised and observational comparative effectiveness studies. We are currently seeking a Clinical Trials Research Assistant to work on a number of projects the Group leads across a range of areas including (but not limited to) vaccine, infectious disease, Cystic Fibrosis and Learning Health System Research.
As a Clinical Trial Research Assistant you will actively contribute towards clinical trial operations. The role has an emphasis on data management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with protocol and regulations. You will also build strong relationships with key clinical trial stakeholders and contribute to quality by aligning clinical trial procedures with Good Clinical Practice and respective SOPs.
Your key responsibilities will be to work under broad direction and actively contribute to the achievement of research work carried out by the group, working in close collaboration with the study coordination team to ensure that the requirements of the research project are addressed appropriately.
