      Job summary

Full time, permanent band 7 psychology post,

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a specialist team in North London Foundation Trust, the Complex Depression Anxiety and Trauma (CDAT) Team. We are currently based across two boroughs, Camden and Islington.

CDAT is a specialist multidisciplinary secondary care service providing assessment and treatment for those with complex presentations of depression and anxiety disorders. The service provides psychological therapies, medical interventions (medication and TMS) and social care. We encourage and promote innovation and research.

We are looking for a psychologist with a real interest in working with people experiencing complex mental health difficulties who is committed to using their skills to help this group. This means that enthusiasm, personal resilience and persistence are essential.

      Main duties of the job

In CDAT, a sound knowledge and experience of CBT and other evidence base interventions in both groups and individual contexts is required. You would be part of a multi-professional team, and the role would include supporting team members indirectly through developing formulation based plans for clients. You will also be liaising with other specialist services, primary care and the new borough based CORE teams. Many CDAT psychology clients will already have had some previous experience of therapy so assessment and formulation skills are paramount.

We welcome applications from those who are currently training and due to qualify soon, as well as those currently working in other areas with transferable skills.

Informal enquiries can be made to Dr Donal Leddy at donal.leddy1@nhs.net .
