- Experience of delivering psychological approaches to people presenting with a range of complex difficulties and presentations

Job summary
The postholder will be a member of the Early Intervention multi-disciplinary team, working with 14-65 year olds and/or their families/social networks who are regarded as meeting criteria for a first episode of psychosis or an At-Risk Mental State. This may involve working with individuals and/or families/social networks who present with a range of difficulties, including voices, visions and extreme suspiciousness. Proactively engaging communities to facilitate intervention at the earliest stage to prevent an escalation of difficulties and more aversive and coercive interventions may also be part of this role.
The postholder will work alongside and support the multidisciplinary team to implement trauma- and recovery-orientated care. This may include consulting or supervising around appropriate psychologically-informed interventions.

At Aspire, we are implementing some exciting and innovative approaches to therapeutic and trauma-informed care across the service, such as Open Dialogue and third wave therapies, in addition to providing NICE-concordant CBTp and Family Interventions. This comes in the context of Inspire North being an actively Anti-Racist organisation.
We are looking for a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Cognitive-Behavioural Psychotherapist with a strong desire to work with people who express unshared and apparently unusual distressing experiences (the psychosis field). Applicants would integrate with the whole service and work with individuals, families/social networks and potentially communities. The role will involve supervision, consultation and training to the team, in addition to contributions to service development.
We will consider people who are close to completing current training courses. The position would be an excellent opportunity to develop, joining a creative and thriving psychology team that includes psychologists, cognitive-behavioural practitioners, systemic therapists and dramatherapy.
