      The Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB) regulates all gambling in British Columbia and ensures the integrity of gambling industry companies, people, and equipment. This includes regulatory oversight of commercial gambling conducted and managed by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) (e.g., lotteries, casinos, community gaming centres, commercial bingo halls and online gambling on PlayNow.com), British Columbia’s horse racing industry, and licensed charitable gambling events. GPEB is also responsible for the administration of Gambling Support BC and, through their programming, for reducing harms from gambling products.

      The Licensing, Registration and Certification Program Analyst provides administrative and financial support services for the LRC division toward the maintenance of gaming integrity in BC.

      Job Requirements:

      • Secondary school graduation or equivalent complemented by successful completion of post-secondary related courses (i.e. Finance, Office Administration, Secretarial, etc.).
      • Minimum of one (1) year directly related experience in each of the following:
        • Applying the principles of administrative law, administrative fairness, and natural justice.
        • Interpreting and applying legislation, guidelines, policy, procedures, and financial statements in a work environment that assesses applications.
        • Planning, organizing and managing multiple files and assignments and deadlines with shifting priorities.
        • Receive payments and confirm payments.
        • Facilitating resolution to a problem, issue, or event in an objective and detailed manner.
      • Experience providing information and services to clients or the public.
      • Experience making decisions affecting other people under tight timelines.
      • Experience/training in keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and other standard computer applications (i.e., MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook).

      Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

      • Experience in the administration and management of records.

      This position can be based out of any of the location(s) listed above.
      Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 4 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
      An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
