      SUMMARY

      We believe our clothing sorters play an important role within our organization; they are the front line for receiving, inspecting, grading and sorting product. Sorters play a significant part in deciding the quality and quantity of product that is displayed to our valued customers on a daily basis, thereby reducing manpower expenses and creating a more efficient process.


      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties

      may be assigned.

      1. Opens multiple clothing bags/boxes/containers, etc.
      2. Sorts clothing in a fast and efficient manner into various grades.
      3. Efficiently and accurately checks clothing items.
      4. Pushes/pulls/drags or moves clothing to various areas using rolling bins and/or racks.
      5. Moves and distributes clothing items to the proper location(s); tags bins and/or racks with identifying markers.
      6. Weekly cleaning, including but not limited to sweeping, wiping, and vacuuming work area.
      7. Maintains a safe and secure environment within designated work area.
      8. Performs other essential tasks as required by the Director of Retail Operations or his/her designee.

      EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

      High school graduate or equivalent certification preferred. Prefer at least one year of experience working with the developmentally disabled.

      CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

      Valid Florida driver's license with a safe driver rating.

      OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

      All around team player, able to work quickly and efficiently at all times.

      Highly motivated and positive individual, with a strong sense of urgency and initiative.

      Ability to embrace change in support of the ever growing retail business.

      Ability to efficiently organize and manage priorities.

      Ability to multi-task; able to keep work area(s) organized and free of safety hazards.

      Ability to make quick judgment when sorting/grading clothing.

      Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.

      Ability to deal courteously, tactfully and efficiently with coworkers, management and the public.

      Willingness to comply with in-service, training or other mandates.

      The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
