      RISE with SAP is SAP’s private cloud offering for S/4, allowing customers to embark on their journey to becoming an intelligent enterprise.

      The Global RISE Cloud Advisory Team works with Customers, Partners, and SAP Stakeholders to enable, educate, and provide deal support for the RISE private cloud offerings, working predominantly in the pre-sales phase.

      We have established a new team within the Global RISE Cloud Advisory Team, focused on the Customer Data Center Deployment option of RISE Private Cloud solution. We are seeking a highly talented and experienced senior professional to take on the role of Lead – Cloud Architect & Advisory, Customer Data Center primarily for the North American region. This role will work collaboratively with Customers, Partners, Cloud Architects, and Internal SAP Stakeholders, therefore will require technical experience in a customer-facing context.

      Being part of SAP’s Customer Success organization, we are looking for highly motivated and customer-focused team members to strengthen the Cloud Architecture & Advisory team (CAA). The Cloud Architect acts as a primary point of contact for all technical topics with regards to cloud deployment/ pricing from the customer perspective and is working closely with all the other internal teams.

      What You’ll Do

      This is a customer-facing role where you will support the sales teams during the entire cycle of a Cloud deal on strategic engagements.

      • Present in detail the technical and operational aspects of the SAP RISE Private Cloud.
      • Present the technical requirements and value proposition for SAP Private Cloud deployed in a customer-provided data center leveraging HPE GreenLake, Lenovo Truescale, and Dell Apex infra services.
      • Conduct discovery (technical assessment) workshops with customers to define the future cloud architecture and plan the migration roadmap together with professional services.
      • Work closely with customer and IaaS partner to perform data center assessment & compatibility check for cloud deployment
      • Perform TCO analysis, compare and contrast with other available options
      • Guide customers around Business Continuity, Cybersecurity & Compliance, Networking, Technical Operations, and service consumption.
      • Work with other teams within the Customer success board area to generate pricing and provide ongoing deal support to sales teams.
      • Own the technical discussions with the customer and act as the orchestrator of experts to obtain expertise from the SAP Enterprise Cloud Delivery organization as required.
      • Work closely with the ECS CTO office to help mature RISE Private Cloud, Customer Data Center Option offerings by providing technical expertise and feedback from customer

      What You Bring

      • Good understanding of different cloud delivery models in depth (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, PCE)
      • Good understanding of Private and Public cloud – at technical, delivery, and operational levels
      • Ability to present RISE with SAP offering to both technical and non-technical audiences. Familiarity with RISE Private Cloud GtM and initiatives
      • Experience working with IT management and leaders at Customers
      • High proficiency in customer communications and presentations is required.
      • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration required from an accredited university.
      • Ability and willingness to be part of a global team of Cloud Architects
      • Willingness to undertake customer-related travel on short notice.
      • Fluency in English is MUST. Other languages such as German, Italian, Turkish, and Arabic will be of an advantage.

      WORK EXPERIENCE

      • 5+ years of hands-on customer-facing SAP Technology Consulting experience (e.g. Basis Admin, DB Admin, Migrations, Upgrades, Business Continuity etc.)
      • 5+ years of solution design, enterprise architecture, and or SAP implementation.
      • Experience with any of Hyperscaler IaaS Providers (AWS, MS Azure, or GCP) and Traditional IaaS providers (HPE GLS, Lenovo Truscale, and DELL Apex).
      • Knowledge of data center design and setup is a big advantage.
      • SAP Cybersecurity & Compliance expertise
      • SAP HANA and S/4 HANA skills would be very helpful but not mandatory.
      • Experience in a customer-facing pre-sales role is an advantage.

      Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 175,200 - 378,800 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
