      Activities include, but are not limited to:
      • Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based systems, ensuring efficient data storage and adherence to security policies.
      • Building and deploying cloud-native applications using cloud services like cloud build, cloud deploy. Build and manage the GCP foundation platform to enable application deployments
      • Engineer solutions on GCP foundation platform using Infrastructure As Code methods using Terraform
      • Integrate, configure, deploy and manage centrally provided common cloud services (e.g. IAM, networking, logging, Operating systems, Containers.)
      • Consume centrally agreed base Hardened OS (Linux and Windows)
      • Configure backup of VMs and CloudSQL and restore.
      • Ensure compliance with centrally defined Security
      • Ensure compliancy with Operational risk standards (E.g. Network, Firewall, OS, Logging, Monitoring, Availability, Resiliency)
      • Build and support continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD) and continuous testing activities
      • Engineering activities to implement patches provided centrally
      • Update support and operational documentation as required
      • Ensure good Change management practice is implemented as specified by central standards.
      • Mentor state staff developers in cloud technologies.
      • Create and review infrastructure/DevOps architecture diagrams.
      • Analyzing cloud usage and optimizing resource allocation to control cloud expenses.
      • Monitoring cloud systems for performance issues, identifying potential problems, and troubleshooting technical incidents.
      • Diagnose technical issues, analyze logs, and effectively troubleshoot complex cloud problems.
      • Working closely with development teams, system administrators, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into cloud solutions.
      Cloud Engineer
      Applies engineering disciplines to cloud computing and brings a systematic approach to concerns of commercialization, standardization, and governance of cloud computing applications. Leverages the methods and tools of engineering in conceiving, developing, operating and maintaining cloud computing systems and solutions. Uses the economics of cloud resources to solve business problems.

      Expert 84+ Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
      1. 84 months of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining cloud systems ensuring best practices, and security policies.
      2. Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based systems in GCP, AWS, or Azure (GCP preference), ensuring efficient data storage and adherence to security policies.
      3. Building and deploying cloud-native applications using cloud services like cloud build, cloud deploy.
      4. Analyzing cloud usage and optimizing resource allocation to control cloud expenses.
      5. Monitoring cloud systems for performance issues, identifying potential problems, and troubleshooting technical incidents.
      6. Working with Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) using GCP Cloud Build & Deploy
      7. Diagnosing technical issues, analyze logs, and effectively troubleshoot complex cloud problems.
      8. 60 months experience developing and maintaining cloud systems: Terraform (Infrastructure as a code) to create VMs and streamline cloud deployments, Scripting languages like Python or PowerShell for automation and system management, Cloud service provider experience in GCP- infrastructure build and configurations of a variety of services including Compute, Storage/Buckets, SDN (VPC and XPN), CloudSQL, Redis, Secret Manager, CDN, HTTPS/TCP Load balancer, Cloud Armor, Logging, Monitoring, Alert, Pub/sub. Experience of Linux administration and scripting preferably Red Hat. Experience in managing GKE cluster and deployment of PoDs & services Server administration (Linux & Windows)
      9. 36 Months experience using CI/CD pipeline technologies.
      10. 36 Months experience using GitHub repository.
      11. 24 Months of experience in Prisma Cloud, Tenable, OS Patching/upgrading .
