- Cloud Infrastructure Design: Working with internal teams and vendors to design and deploy scalable, reliable and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP and/or Azure.
- Implementation and Management: Implementing and managing cloud services such as IaaS, MS365 and AWS/Azure IaaS.
- Monitoring, Troubleshooting and Optimization: Monitoring cloud infrastructure, troubleshoot issues to find root cause and collaborating with vendors to resolve complex issues and optimize performance.
- Installation Support: Assisting Brava’s sales team in any pre-sales capacity to ensure business customer needs are accomplished. Assist with the configuration and installation of Brava Cloud products and services. Offer technical guidance and assistance to remote network specialists.
- Collaboration: Providing technical guidance to product development and operations during the development and implementation of Brava’s product roadmap.
- Security: Ensuring compliance with security policies and best practices and implement robust security measures to protect data, systems and resources.
- Documentation: Maintaining comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, procedures, and best practices. Develop and deliver training materials and user guides to educate support teams and end-users.
- Stay Current: Keeping up to date with current and emerging vendor platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure and GCP) and services and provide leadership and strategic guidance on optimizing cloud infrastructure to support business growth. Pursue and maintain relevant vendor cloud engineering certifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in designing, deploying and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure and GCP.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, routing, storage, virtualization, and orchestration cloud-based platforms (e.g. Kubernetes, OpenStack and VMWare).
- Skilled in cloud-based scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Go, PowerShell, and JavaScript.
- Understands cloud security features (data protection, IAM, network security, compliance frameworks).
- Knowledge of database management (e.g. SQL) in cloud environments.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues (including network, DNS, firewall and routing), able to conduct comprehensive investigations and complete RSAs.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with current cloud computing standards (ISO/IEC 27001 and other relevant standards) and industry best practices.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Cloud Associate, Cisco CCNA) are highly desirable.
- Experience with research and development in cloud engineering or related field with or without published results is a plus.
- Understands the importance of KPI’s in measuring progress, decision making, and accountability.
- Able to work collaboratively within a geographically dispersed matrix structure.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and deliver projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams for documentation, reporting, collaboration and project management.
