  The Global Information Services team are actively looking for Infrastructure Automation Engineers to join them. Do you like to solve challenges and have an interest in large scale impact?   What You’ll Be Doing
  
  You will work in our Cloud Engineering and Automation area developing automation capabilities hosted in AWS, Microsoft Azure and on-premises clouds. The role will be providing the hands-on technical development skills and leadership to turn ideas and concepts into solutions.

  Our goal is to build and implement capabilities to automate all aspects of our infrastructure. This includes build, deploy, maintain, and support through repeatable patterns to help Lilly accelerate adoption of cloud services across the organization. You will work with our Global team of infrastructure and cloud engineers to further develop cloud automation and management capabilities.

  
  How You’ll Succeed
  
  • You will bring your technical knowledge and experience to design, develop, implement, enhance, and maintain secure, resilient, and reliable hybrid cloud services using proactive, predictive, and automated capabilities.
  • You will bring a high learning agility and Infrastructure Automation Engineer skills to help us enable the Lilly Technology strategy, identifying tech opportunities, and accelerate our cloud journey.
  • You will accelerate initiatives in areas such as: Infrastructure automation, cloud service management, and cloud infrastructure as code to enable critical business projects.
  • Must conduct testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of cloud infrastructure as code to ensure system reliability and accuracy of data.
  • Must stay up to date with emerging trends in cloud and infrastructure automation.
  • You will learn and apply new technologies, such as Infrastructure as Code and Continuous Configuration Automation Tools applied to Enterprise Scale Hyper Cloud providers, agile ways of working, and willingness to become an expert.
  • Must ensure documented processes and procedures are in place for all activities to meet quality and compliance standards.
  • Must have Strong Analytical and Problem-solving skills.
  • Must have Excellent communication skills.
  
  What You Should Bring

  
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Python
  • Demonstratable knowledge and experience with modern IaaS cloud services (EC2, Azure Compute)
  • Experience with languages and tools such as ARM, CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Git, JSON, YAML
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure Pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience developing and deploying Infrastructure as Code in a cloud environment.
  • Optimize, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure automation capabilities to help Build, Configure, and Maintain systems.
  • Hands-on experience with automated infrastructure server administration and scripting of enterprise scale virtualized Windows or Linux OS platforms (RHEL, Ubuntu, and Amazon Linux)
  • Technical expertise and leadership to turn ideas and concepts into solutions. Linux and Cloud certifications are a bonus, or we are willing to help you develop.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and best practices related to the cloud and automation.
  • Build solutions using an agile framework for the entire solution lifecycle including designing, implementing, automating, modernizing, maintaining, and optimizing solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and articulate complex technical concepts.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  
  Your Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience delivering systems with multiple points of integration with other technologies or applications
