      Summary:

      Certarus has created an innovative technology platform to drive business efficiencies and to accommodate the Company's rapid growth trajectory through a combination of fully cloud-based infrastructure, in-house software development, and modern Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) systems.

      This individual will serve as the Azure infrastructure expert on a small, dynamic team driving full-stack development of Certarus’ proprietary software, an industry-leading SCADA system, and a growing data platform that serves the company’s business intelligence and process automation needs. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, managing, and monitoring cloud-based solutions in our Azure environment following the Azure Well-Architected Framework. The Cloud Infrastructure Specialist will also implement cybersecurity and authentication best practices to mitigate risk and meet industry standards.

      Schedule:

      • Normal working hours are expected for this role. Little to no travel is expected.
      • We support a hybrid work environment consisting of in-person collaboration at our Calgary office (3 days per week) and flexible remote work.

      Duties & Responsibilities:

      • Maintain and enhance existing Azure infrastructure, including but not limited to: VM servers, Azure Storage, SQL Databases, Identity, Governance, Azure Serverless, Networking, Security, Monitoring and Backup, Cost Management, App Services, Azure Container Services etc.
      • Provision new resources in support of software development and data analytics teams to ensure they have the infrastructure they need for various projects.
      • Manage Azure access consistent with IT General Controls (ITGC) requirements.
      • Help design and implement future infrastructure architecture to maximize performance and reliability.
      • Develop and implement IaC and automation scripts using PowerShell, ARM templates, or other scripting languages.
      • Collaborate with third-party cloud service providers and experts to maintain or make changes to infrastructure when necessary.
      • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Azure cloud infrastructure offerings and best practices.
      • Ensure optimal Azure service performance by maintaining infrastructure and configurations, tracking deployed resources, and resolving related issues.

      Requirements:

      • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, managing critical infrastructure in large-scale environments.
      • Deep, proven expertise in the Azure cloud environment, with experience designing, building out and supporting Azure cloud services and computing is a must.
      • Knowledge of RBAC concepts, Identity Management (Azure AD/SSO) and extension to other applications (third-party in-house).
      • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement, obtain buy-in from stakeholders and implement accordingly.
      • Understanding of networking concepts, security best practices and system monitoring tools.
      • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-performance environment with competing priorities.
      • Possesses Azure certifications AZ-104, AZ-305 or equivalent knowledge.
      • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD and software development practices an asset.
      • Understanding of CSOX and ITGC requirements an asset.
      • T ransportation and/or Oil and Gas business knowledge an asset.
      • Post secondary education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience is an asset.
