What does a successful Cloud Security Principal Engineer do at Fiserv?

Fiserv’s Cloud Security Engineering team’s main goal is to revolutionize and transform Cyber security services in cloud native patterns globally! We perform cloud posture management and workload protection services for Public Cloud Infrastructure and Kubernetes Container Platforms. You will be involved in the Globalization of our Cloud Security Platform Services offering and standardizing those platform deployments across the enterprise. The team is in a start-up phase as we are defining the future of Cyber Security automation and cloud native operators.

What you will do:

• As a Cloud Security Architect on our team, you will be managing solution controls across multiple security disciplines and tools.
• You will work to mature the multiple control programs focused on data analysis, rule tuning, policy management within our cloud architecture while improving the overall monitoring framework (delivery) focused on reducing risk.
• You will look at existing cloud controls, policy and make recommendations for improved security posture while tuning out noise.
• This role is for a proactive candidate and someone who can think outside the box and looks for threats and opportunities before they occur, while fully optimizing existing tool sets.

What you will need to have:

• High School Diploma or GED minimum
• 2+ years Cloud Engineering experience (AWS or Azure or GCP)
• Experience with cloud security
• Creating and executing tailored cloud security strategies and policies that align with the unique requirements of an organization.
• Safeguarding cloud-based data and applications against unauthorized access, theft, and other potential threats.
• Performing routine security assessments and audits to pinpoint vulnerabilities and formulate corrective action plans.
• Cooperating with fellow IT experts, such as network engineers, developers, and system administrators, to seamlessly integrate cloud security measures into established systems and workflows.
• Staying informed about the most recent cloud security innovations, developments, and industry best practices.
