      Job Title: CMM Inspector

      Job Description

      Coordinate and develop new product integration, including gauging, Inspection Test Plans (ITP), and first article inspection. Operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) in both manual and auto modes and program using Calypso & MCOSMOS software. Conduct initial qualification testing of manufactured and machined products during preproduction and prototype stages. Assist in setup, provide required gauging, and conduct First Off Inspections. Offer technical support for machined, welded, and assembled products, participate in solving quality problems, and ensure quality-related tools and procedures are efficiently utilized.

      Responsibilities

      • Coordinate and develop new product integration, including gauging, ITP, and first article inspection.
      • Operate CMM in both manual and auto modes.
      • Program CMM using Calypso & MCOSMOS software.
      • Conduct initial qualification testing of manufactured and machined products during preproduction and prototype stages.
      • Assist in setup, provide required gauging, and conduct First Off Inspections.
      • Provide technical support for machined, welded, and assembled products.
      • Participate in solving quality problems, including supplier, internal, and customer issues.
      • Ensure necessary quality-related tools and procedures are available, controlled, and used correctly and efficiently.
      • Assist in conducting inspection and testing of finished products, raw materials, and subcontracted intermediate products.
      • Maintain the orderliness, cleanliness, and efficiency of the Quality Department.

      Essential Skills

      • 3-5 years of experience in quality management, product testing, or inspection.
      • Familiarity with customer ISO, first article inspection, and data entry tools.
      • Working knowledge of CMM programming, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T), and ability to read blueprints.
      • Proficiency in the use of computers for data analysis.
      • Understanding of manufacturing process control.
      • Ability to pass a vision test for color and acuity in quality control.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Degree or diploma in Quality Technician, Engineering Technician, or equivalent experience.
      • Certified Quality Technician (CQT) from ASQ or equivalent certification (preferred).

      Work Environment

      The role is based in a machine shop environment, where precision and attention to detail are paramount.

      The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $79040.00/yr.
