      Job Title: CMM Programmer


      Job Description

      Join our dynamic team as a CMM Programmer, where you will operate and program the Zeiss CMM during our day shift from 6am to 2:30pm, with flexibility required as the shop runs from 6am to 6pm. You will play a vital role in running inspection programs using Calypso software to measure in-process and final assemblies according to GD&T blueprint specifications, working from mobile stations and directly supporting machinists.

      Responsibilities

      • Operate multiple CMMs using CALYPSO software to ensure accurate product measurements.
      • Test and measure products, components, or assemblies for precision.
      • Clean, maintain, and monitor CMM equipment and instruments to ensure proper functionality.
      • Mark items for acceptance or rejection and record inspection/test data.
      • Operate basic measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, fixed gauges, surface plate equipment, and digital meters.
      • Interface with the ERP system and basic computer utility programs.
      • Meet minimum productivity levels established by management.
      • Adhere to all department and company policies and procedures.
      • Work from mobile stations and provide direct support to machinists.
      • Develop, implement, and coordinate quality control inspection plans.
      • Supervise CMM Operators daily and direct workflow based on production and inspection requirements.
      • Read and interpret materials such as work orders, inspection instructions/manuals, and blueprints to determine inspection and test activities.
      • Provide training and expertise on quality and drawing requirements to team members as needed.
      • Coordinate CMM preventive maintenance requirements.

      Essential Skills

      • 8+ years of CMM programming/operating experience with Calypso.
      • Experience in metrology, MRP, and ERP systems.
      • Knowledge of GD&T, quality control, and micrometer usage.
      • Proficiency in inspection, blueprint reading, and CMM programming.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • High School Diploma or GED required; AS or BS degree preferred.
      • Minimum 5 years of experience in CMM Programming and inspection in the Aerospace industry.
      • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
      • Strong verbal communication skills for effective information presentation.
      • Mathematical proficiency in basic operations, percentages, and trigonometry.
      • Working knowledge of Windows, Word, and Excel.
      • Ability to produce spreadsheets for reports and presentations.
      • Problem-solving skills to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
      • Teamwork skills and the ability to participate as a team member.

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, California.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
