- Conduct comprehensive CMMC assessments for client organizations to evaluate their adherence to the CMMC framework and associated security controls.
- Review documentation, conduct interviews, and observe technical testing to assess an organization's cybersecurity practices.
- Produce detailed assessment reports, including specific findings, organizational strengths, and significant opportunities for improvement, ensuring accuracy and compliance with CMMC requirements.
- Identify vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and areas for improvement in clients' cybersecurity programs and provide actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with clients to develop and implement remediation plans and strategies to achieve the desired CMMC maturity level.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments and updates in the CMMC framework and other relevant cybersecurity regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to clients throughout the CMMC certification process, including assisting with documentation and preparing for audits.
- Lead assessment teams to ensure successful completion of CMMC assessments and drive continuous improvement in our assessment methodologies.
- Experience in conducting cybersecurity assessments, preferably in the context of compliance frameworks such as CMMC or NIST SP 800-171.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and industry best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of the CMMC Level 2 practices, CMMC Level 2 scoping guide, and CMMC Assessment Process (draft).
- CCA, Security+ (CISSP, CISA, CCSP or similar preferred)
- BS in Computer Science or related field

7+ years in IT, Cybersecurity, or related role// 2+ years as an assessor

Must be able to pass security background check

Travel up to 15%
- Thorough understanding of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Federal Contract Information (FCI)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex systems and identify vulnerabilities.
- Familiarity with DoD contract requirements and experience working with government contractors or subcontractors is highly desirable

La Jolla Logic, a Boecore company is looking for a part-time with the potential to transition to full-time Remote CMMC Assessor to join our team! This position is remote, but San Diego area is preferred.
As a Certified CMMC Assessor, you will play a crucial role in assessing and evaluating the cybersecurity capabilities of our clients, specifically focusing on compliance with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework. Your expertise and knowledge will be instrumental in assisting organizations in meeting the rigorous security requirements mandated by the Department of Defense (DoD) for contractors and subcontractors.
US Citizenship is required.
Salary range $110,00 - $150,000
