- Modifies and maintains CMMS data systems to support asset data analysis. Works independently with vendors and other GFIAA staff to assist in program development by gathering information for assets and other new and old data and information needed to allow the asset data system to function effectively; creates new codes for the above areas mentioned and, when necessary, modifies asset characteristics and descriptions.
- Assists with establishing equipment records; associates the manufacturer’s maintenance recommendations with the equipment records, defines, compiles, and incorporates maintenance activities in the CMMS systems.
- Manages and evaluates productivity and trends by analyzing work order data.
- Develops CMMS training programs and leads or assigns training leadership for Authority staff.
- Generates standard and ad-hoc reports using the standard report structure of the asset data systems, and other end user reporting tools. Fulfills requests for reports and information; works with end users to understand business processes and report requirements for assigned projects.
- Ability to organize verbal presentations and to prepare written reports and record information using computer systems.
- Ability to read, comprehend, interpret, and comment on project plans and specifications.
- Ability to analyze data from a variety of sources and make decisions accordingly.
- Ability and willingness to effectively deal with diverse personalities and employee issues, including disciplinary actions.
- Ability to manage and coordinate with direct contractors and vendors to maintain a working relationship and hold external parties responsible.
- Must be available to work flexible schedule based on business need which may include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to effectively organize, plan and schedule work task across different disciplines and effectively communicate, confirm and implement with supervisory staff.
- Performs quality control checks of asset data to ensure the accuracy of all data within the systems and directs employees in appropriate use of CMMS.
- Researches and makes recommendations on Asset Management and CMMS needs; monitors the performance of asset data software and hardware and recommends improvements. Ensures the implementation of processes and practices are in support of asset management best practices and are synchronized with GIS. Assists the Information Technology Department with hardware and software upgrades for the asset data analysis system at their directions.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Four years of increasingly responsible related experience, training and/or education in database development, project management, information technology, asset management, or GIS, is preferred.
- Associate degree in computer science preferred.
- Related experience includes significant responsibility for collecting, entering, and verifying data, supporting users, analyzing workflows and data, and reporting.
- Prior experience and/or education in the maintenance and use of Asset Management/ CMMS/GIS systems required.
- Responsible for performing all job duties with regard to safety and security requirements. Must be able to maintain a cooperative relationship with fellow employees, tenants, and the public. Must conduct all duties with tact, in a firm but non argumentative manner, to be objective in all dealings with members of the public and airport tenants.
- General knowledge of the principles, theories and methods of database concepts, structures, and programming logic; and the various types, classes, uses, and interrelationships of assets. Knowledge of asset management within a facilities department preferred.
- Must have sound working knowledge of Excel, Word, Adobe and other word processing programs.
- CMMS (Cityworks) and GIS software skills are preferred, including creating, editing and reporting on assets, using built-in functions or query languages (e.g., SQL).
- Effective communication, analytical, customer service, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to get along well with co-workers and maintain working relationships; ability to promote a culture of teamwork and communication.
- Ability to use a computer to perform essential functions of the position. High level of proficiency using an office productivity software suite and related applications.
- Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
- Must be able to navigate throughout all areas of the GFIAA, including indoor and outdoor facilities and uneven surfaces.
- Must be able to work in environments (with appropriate PPE) with potential exposure to inclement weather conditions, smoke, dust, noise, and fumes.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain AOA driving privileges.
- Must be able to pass the required FBI fingerprint-based criminal history record check in addition to pre-hire and random drug and alcohol screenings.
- Must also obtain and maintain an appropriate level airport badge at all times.

- Internal – Maintain a working relationship with various departmental employees and management employees within the organization.
- External – Frequent communication with vendors, tenants, contractors, and business partners.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the policy and administrative direction of the Maintenance & Asset Management Director, the Computer Maintenance Management Systems & Asset Information Manager position shares in our desire to expand the Gerald R. Ford International Airport Authority (GFIAA) by creating an exceptional experience for our guests and employees. Directs teams that focus on each critical area and develops leaders and associates to create a comprehensive program and team. Functional areas within the scope of this position include inventory management, reactive, preventative and predictive maintenance programs and Airport Authority-owned facilities. This position oversees the Computer Maintenance Management System and all related data and information and performs various technical tasks in the day-to-day operations of the GFIAA Asset Management and Computerized Maintenance and all related programs. These tasks are illustrative only and may include other related duties.
