      Job Description

      Join our dynamic team as a Senior Field Service Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in providing installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair support for a variety of advanced equipment at customer facilities. This position is ideal for someone with a strong technical background and a passion for the machine tool industry.

      Responsibilities

      • Travel to customer facilities to provide installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair support for various equipment.
      • Provide comprehensive in-person and remote training to customers.
      • Utilize machine tool manuals, technical documents, internal, and vendor resources to research machine issues.
      • Ensure proper documentation regarding machine issues, repairs, and installations; provide detailed feedback to management, distributors, and customers.
      • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry and all necessary information to support your role.

      Essential Skills

      • Minimum of 2 years' experience in mechanical and electrical repair, maintenance, and programming within the machine tool industry.
      • Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills.
      • Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
      • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
      • Experience with FANUC, Heidenhein, Linear Lasers, and Laser Tracker.
      • Experience in large CNC 5-axis gantries.
      • Experience with FANUC Robots.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Technical degree is preferred; validated experience in the industry is acceptable.
      • Must meet physical requirements of the job.
      • Consistent travel required.
      • Ability to pass a criminal background check and obtain security clearances.
      • Ability to pass a drug test and willingness to work overtime as required.

      Work Environment

      Work in a highly advanced aviation company based in Olathe, KS, servicing machinery. The role involves a mix of on-site and on-road work, with travel mainly in Olathe, KS for at least 1-2 years. Some international travel is required for training. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4 pm, with occasional overtime on weekends as needed but rare.

      This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Olathe, Kansas.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
