      Dixon is looking for a CNC Lathe Machinist to join its manufacturing team on 2nd shift at their Houston, Texas facility. The CNC Machinist will set up and operate computer numerical controlled (CNC) lathes to produce precision metal components, inspect products to drawing specifications. In this position you will learn to recognize machining issues and how to fix them. Must have 5 years of experience on lathe machines.

      Responsibilities:

      • Set up and run CNC machines
      • Daily maintenance activities
      • Trouble shoot program issues
      • Work safely around equipment and co-workers
      • Flexibility with rotating assignments
      • Work as part of a team and participate in training

      Competencies:

      • Familiar with G & M code
      • Experience wit Mazatrol preferred
      • Be able to read blue prints
      • Be able to use measuring tools
      • Good reading and math skills
      • Stand for duration of shift
      • Lift and maneuver 50 lbs. consistently over the course of a shift
      • Attention to detail
      • Work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
